7,333 CANDIDATES WRITE 2016 LICENSING EXAMINATION FOR THE BASIC PROGRAMMES

7,333 CANDIDATES WRITE 2016 LICENSING EXAMINATION FOR THE BASIC PROGRAMMES

A total number of 7,333 are writing this year’s licensing examination for the basic programs simultaneously in 37 centers across the country. The licensing examination which began on Monday, August 29, 2016, is expected to end on Wednesday, August 31, 2016
In a breakdown of the total number of candidates writing for the various programs, 4,458 and 1,938 candidates are writing for the Registered General Nursing and Registered Midwives programs respectively.
442 candidates are writing for the Registered Mental Nursing program whiles 495 candidates are writing for the Registered Community Nursing program.
The Registrar of the Council, Mr. Felix Nyante visited the Accra Centre at the Armed Forces Senior High School, Burma Camp. A total of 1,076 candidates wrote at the Accra Centre. Mr. Nyante expressed his satisfaction at the conduct of the examination.

He urged the invigilators to be vigilant to ensure that there was no examination malpractice. He also extended good wishes to the candidates.
In an interview with Mrs. Victoria Lamina, the Examination Coordinator at the Accra Centre, she disclosed that the beginning of the examination had been incident-free.
Candidates of all the basic programs will write a general paper on the last day of the examination.
