Ghana now has 73 new confirmed cases making a total of 287. According to the Ghana Health Service, the spike in number of confirmed cases was due to enhanced contact tracing and testing that was carried out. 26 of the cases were also from the mandatory quarantine who initially tested negative.

With the total confirmed cases now at 287, there has been 3 recoveries and 5 deaths. The regional distribution of the cases are as follows: Greater Accra Region has most cases (258) followed by the Ashanti Region (18), Northern Region (10), Upper West Region (1), Eastern Region (1) and Upper East Region (1).
Globally, there are about 1,346,299 confirmed cases, 74,679 deaths and 276,636 recoveries.
