The Youth and Employment Agency (YEA) is said to Employ about 5,000 Senior High School graduates in the Community Health-Based Planning Services (CHPS) compounds across the country to help with health service delivery.
This was made known by the Deputy CEO of Operations, Youth Employment Agency (YEA), Alhaji Ibrahim Bashiru on Wednesday at the launch of the Ghana Job fair. The SHS graduates when employed will assist nurses with services, including recording medical history, conducting physical examinations, and providing simple bedside care to patients in rural communities.
According to the Deputy CEO, the Youth and Employment Agency is collaborating with the Ghana Health Service on the “Community Health Worker” programme by the end of August 2022.
