HEALTH WORKERS IN DEPRIVED AREAS TO ENJOY EARLY PROMOTION – GHS

The Ghana Health Service by the approval of its council has implemented a Non-Financial Deprived District incentive which includes early promotion for employees working in districts designated as deprived. For this reason, employees will enjoy promotions as below:

 No. of years for non-deprived districtNo. of years for Deprived district
First promotion (Senior level)32
Second promotion (Principal level)54
Third promotion (Dep. Chief/Asst Chief level)54
Fourth promotion (Chief level)54
Total No of years of service1814

It should be noted that for employees in the Deprived Districts to enjoy the early promotion, the entire required duration should have been served in those Districts.
