A nurse at the Manhyia Government Hospital in the Ashanti Region has been subjected to verbal assault and called all manner of unsavory words by the Ashanti Regional NSS Director – Alex Owusu Mensah just because she was advocating for her patients.

This incident occurred when a house officer who was alleged to be on duty was not available. The nurse, in an attempt to help a sick client, called on the house officer to come and attend to the client’s needs with some prescribed drugs, which got the house officer and her family angry.

The father of the house officer, Alex Owusu Mensah, the regional director of the National Service Secretariat of the Ashanti Region, went to the hospital and started verbally abusing the nurse, calling her all sorts of names.
