NMC EXTENDS DEADLINE FOR RENEWAL OF PIN/AIN

The Nursing and Midwifery Council of Ghana have extended the deadline for the renewal of PIN/AIN for Nurses, Nurse Assistants, and Midwives. According to the NMC, this has been due to the pandemic that has disrupted business and operations. The NMC has therefore extended the deadline for the renewal of PIN/AIN to Wednesday, March 31, 2021.

The NMC stated that:

  1. All practitioners must renew their license annually by 31st January each year.
  2. The validity of the PIN/AIN Cards has been extended from three to five years.
  3. All PIN/AIN cards with the 3-year validity will cease to be valid after March 31, 2021.

Also, there will no further extension for the new deadline and therefore nurses and midwives are advised to renew their licenses before March 31, 2021.
