The Nursing and Midwifery Council of Ghana to start online licensing examination in 2018. This according to NMC is part of its strategic objectives to streamline and strengthen its operations.
The project will be funded by the Dutch Government through its Netherlands Initiative Capacity development in Higher Education program (NICHE) to revamp the Council’s Examination processes and procedures. The project will be supported by the Netherland Universities Foundation for International Cooperation (NUFFIC).

The online examination will begin with Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) to be conducted in accredited Nursing and Midwifery Training Colleges equipped with functional computers and reliable internet connectivity. Nursing and Midwifery Training Colleges are therefore encouraged to streamline and strengthen their computer laboratories.
The system will be implemented in phases effective 2018/2019.
