RIDGE HOSPITAL LAUNCHES “GH-LIVE DOCTOR” APP

The Greater Accra Regional Hospital has launched a Telemedicine app called “GH-LIVE DOCTOR”. The purpose of the app is to assist patients to easily access medical services remotely and to help solve the issue of overcrowding at the OPD as the COVID-19 pandemic still persist.

In the opening remarks, Dr. Emmanuel Srofenyoh, Medical Director of GARH stated that “Today is a great day because we are moving in the wave of Technology”. He added that GARH since 2017 have been on the move to increase quality healthcare. Previous avenues include the Teleconsultation centre, LUSCII COVID-19 and LUSCII NCD App, all happening already. “Today we’re here to add the ” GH-LIVE DOCTOR App” he said.

The Chief Executive Officer of the “GH-LIVE DOCTOR” Mr. Yaw Kakari gave an overview of how the app works and the benefits of telemedicine. The app will significantly enhance the physician- patient ratio, alleviate financial burden and enhance post-care with its ability to access medical records everywhere. The App is available on the App Store for iOS and Google Play Store for android.
