TWO-STOREY BUILDING COMMISSIONED BY DAMONGO NTC FOR ITS MIDWIFERY PROGRAM

The Damongo Nurses Training College has commissioned a two-storey complex in Damongo, West Gonja Municipality. The building which has four offices, two Skills Laboratories, a Library, and an Information Communication Technology (ICT) lab is in preparation for the commencement of the Midwifery program in the school.

According to Principal Hajia Rabi Iddrisu, the building complex was fully funded through the school’s Internally Generated Fund (IGF) to complement the government’s effort.

She further explained that the school faces numerous challenges including accommodation, transportation, and other infrastructural problems. For instance, the school is compelled to spend a lot of funding each academic year in order to secure near-decent accommodation for its male students. Also, most vehicles of the school are old resulting in a lot of expenditure on maintenance and fuel.
