Donation by WHO

The Chief Director of the Ministry of Health Mr. Kwabena Boadu Oku-Afari, who received the items on behalf of the Minister of Health, expressed his profound gratitude and appreciation to WHO for their timely intervention. Mr. Oku-Afari indicated he had lost count of the number of times WHO had donated items and supported the ministry in diverse ways. According to him, the items had come at a time some hospitals were in dire need. He further assured the representatives of WHO a swift and equitable distribution of the items to serve their intended purposes. Turning his attention to COVID-19, he called on the public to adhere strictly to the safety protocol, stating Ghana is not free from COVID-19 yet, so we need to keep our guard.
