KNUST WINS MIDDLE ZONE NATIONAL NURSES AND MIDWIVES QUIZ

The Ministry of Health as part of the yearlong celebration of “The Year of the Nurse and Midwife” in 2021, organized a quiz competition for Public and Private Health Training Schools and Universities across the country. The maiden event features twelve (12) schools divided into three (3) groups. The first group, the Northern zone consist of University for Development Studies, Catholic University College, University of Energy and Natural Resources and Valley View University – Techiman Campus. The second group, the Middle zone consist of Garden City University College, KNUST, Premier NMTC and Royal Ann Academy NMTC. And lastly, the last group, the Southern Zone is made up of University of Ghana, KAAF University College, 37 Military NMTC and Narh Bita NMTC.

The middle zone quiz competition took place today at the Garden City University College. At the end of the contest Garden City University College, KNUST, Premier NMTC, and Royal Ann Academy NMTC score 41, 56, 41, and 47 points, respectively. KNUST, therefore, emerged winners for the Middle zone.

The northern zone competition was held at the University of Energy and Natural Resources campus on the 25th of April 2021. The University of Energy and Natural Resources won with a total point of 71 qualifying them for the grand finale together with KNUST as we await the southern zone winner. The southern zone competition will take place on the 8th of May 2021.

The grand finale will be held at the GRNMA Head Office Conference Hall in Accra on the 15th of May 2021.
