A PREGNANT WOMAN LOSES ALL FIVE BABIES (QUINTUPLETS) AFTER BIRTH

Published on

A woman in Kenya has lost all five of her babies after birth. According to the hospital, Margaret Wangui, a first-time mother, was rushed to the hospital after experiencing severe pain.

An emergency cesarean section was done, and the quintuplets were delivered at 25 weeks. However, the babies were considered preterm and underweight as they were born before 37 weeks. As a result, the internal organs of the five infants were not yet fully developed. They had to be placed in incubators at the hospital.

The babies, unfortunately, developed complications and died. The couple received counseling at the hospital following the loss of their babies.

Quintuplets are a group of five babies born at the same time from the same pregnancy. This term is used to describe the number of offspring produced in a single birth event and is a rare occurrence. Quintuplets are typically delivered by cesarean section, and due to the high risk of premature birth, they often require extensive medical care to ensure their survival and health.
