The Minister of Health in a letter dated 10th February, 2017 has ordered the suspension of recruitment of 8,634 nurses and other health professionals into the public health institutions.
According to the Minister, the suspension is not a cancellation but to allow the Ministry of Health to finalize all issues related to the Financial Clearance. The letter in part reads:
“I wish to request that you suspend all recruitment activities for the 8,634 Nurses and other Health Staff until further notice.
The suspension is not a cancellation but to allow the Ministry of Health to finalise all issues related to Financial Clearance.”
