SUSPECTED BLOOD THIEVES ARRESTED AT KORLE BU TEACHING HOSPITAL

In a press release today by the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, it has indicated that two (2) suspects have been arrested for attempting to steal several pints of blood. The suspects were arrested and handed over to the police.

The hospital’s security personnel received a tip-off of the activities of these individuals and therefore mounted surveillance. This led to the arrest of two suspects this morning at about 2:00 am.

The suspected individuals were arrested on the third floor of the surgical department in an attempt to get away with several pints of blood that were previously mobilized for surgical procedures at the facility.

The Korle Bu Police has begun investigations after the arrest of the suspects. The management of the hospital has thus, urge staff to be vigilant of any suspicious activity in the hospital and report immediately to security to prevent future occurrences.
